Wild Canvas was born from a life lived in one of Africa's last truly wild places.
For nearly twenty years, I worked as a wildlife veterinarian and bush pilot in Kenya's Masai Mara, treating injured wildlife, flying into remote conservancies, and spending countless days immersed in the rhythms of the savannah. The Mara wasn't simply where I worked—it became home. It shaped how I see beauty, adventure, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.
When I eventually left life in the bush, I wanted to carry a piece of that world with me.
What began as sketches, small designs, and creative projects soon became Wild Canvas—a way to transform memories of wildlife, landscapes, and field life into pieces that others could enjoy every day.
But this story has never been mine alone.
My children grew up in the Mara, where wildlife wasn't something to visit—it was simply part of everyday life.
My son inherited a fascination with animals and dreams of becoming a wildlife veterinarian, finding inspiration in the field experiences we shared together.
My daughter embraced the savannah in her own way—curious, imaginative, and endlessly drawn to its playful beauty.
Those different perspectives naturally grew into three collections, each telling its own chapter of the same story.
